Saving Brains, A Grand Challenge

Thanks to Dee Ann Lewis (Central Oregon) for sharing another great resource highlighting the return on investing ‘early on’ in a child’s life (specifically focusing on protective factors such as nutrition, stimulation & protection). Through the presentation of key research findings, Dr. Evans is able to make a sound case for investing in resources that promote healthy brain development . Towards the end, he quotes an old chinese proverb that really hits home:

“The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is now.”

This video comes from Dr. Mike Evans and the Evans Health Lab.
